This law establishes the main rules and veterinary requirements, rights and responsibilities/ obligations of the State, individuals and legal entities in the process of production, processing, storage, transport and marketing of live animals and products of animal origin. The purpose of the law is to ensure animal health, prevention of transmission of disease from animals to humans, insuring the safety of products of animal origin intended for human consumption, quality of animal food, testing and authorization of veterinary medicinal products and substances used in veterinary diagnostic activities, protection of the territory against infectious diseases by organizing health activity.
