The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On approval of the List of goods export and import of which is subject to licensing, and quotas for 2024" No. 1402 of 27 December 2023 approves the list of goods that are subject to import licensing in 2024.
The Resolution specifies goods falling under the system of non-automatic licensing and administrative body responsible for issuing of approval to obtain a license for import of particular categories of goods under this system of licensing.
The following imports are subject to licensing:
- ozone-depleting substances and fluorinated greenhouse gases (within the determined annual national quota); and
- goods and equipment that may contain ozone-depleting substances and fluorinated greenhouse gases (except for goods and equipment transported in containers with personal belongings).
The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine considers applications for licences and issues them. The Ministry obtains prior approval for the import of controlled substances as well as goods and equipment that can contain controlled substances from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine in the order of interagency exchange of information.
