- Depending on the product, licenses/approvals are issued free of charge by the following Ministries: Economy and Industry; Agriculture and Rural Development; Health; Transport and Road Safety; Environment protection; Energy; Defense and Public Security, within 1421 working days, but in most instances in less than seven days upon completion of all necessary documentation.

Personal Import Order and its amendments Schedules 1 and 2

Personal Import Order 5779-2019 came into force 30 days after its publication (21 June 2019) except for:
(a) The provision in clause 9(a) came into force 7 months after its publication (21 January 2020).
(b) The provisions in clause 5(c) and 5(d)(3), regarding the time frame given for replying to an import licensing request, were extended for the first 24 months after its publication (21 June 2021).

Personal Import Order 2019 sets out conditions and criteria for personal imports of goods and determines when a requirement for import license or permit is applied. The order has entered into force on 22 June 2019.
Schedules 1 and 2 to the Personal Import Order 2019 contain lists of items subject to import licensing principally for (food) safety and security reasons (Annex 1) or to specific standards and technical requirements in order to ensure safety, security, and environmental objectives (Annex 2).
Personal Import Order (1st Amendment) 5780-2019 came into force at the date of its publication (7 October 2019).
Personal Import Order (2nd Amendment) 5780-2019 came into force at the date of its publication (26 December 2019).
