Imports may be carried out under the following condition: A person who has registered as a handler under Article 9 of the Safety Management Act of the Peripheral Radiation shall report to the Nuclear Safety Commission according to Article 11 of the same Act until clear customs if the substance to be imported is a raw material or a process by-product under Article 2 of the same Act.

The purpose of this Act is to protect the health of citizens and the environment, improve the quality of life of citizens and contribute to public safety by providing for matters regarding the improvement of safety measures for radiation to which citizens may be exposed in their daily lives.

Although this act existed beforehand, it was included in the Integrated notice for the first time since 2015. The reason for this is due to the addition of the provision for import and export procedures in this act in 2019.
