Outline of Systems

Q1. Give a brief description of each licensing system as a whole and, with respect to each, reply to the following questions as relevant, placing all of the material with respect to a given system in sequence together, and using cross references as appropriate when elements which have already been described are also present in another system.

The licensing of imports of radio-transmission equipment is regulated by the Regulation of the Minister of Transport and Communication No. 51 of 10 September 1999, and is administered by National Board of Communication.

Purposes and Coverage of Licensing

The licensing is intended to assure that the imported goods are suitable for the national communication system.

The licensing of imports in radio-transmission equipment is based on the Customs Act and is maintained under the Regulation of the Minister of Transport and Communication No. 51 of 10 September 1999, published in Riigi Teataja Lisa 1999 No. 130.
